    This tower thing was at the center of the temple complex. It was a hot muggy day and the stairs were quite steep but the prospect of a view from the top made the climb seem worth the effort. …………Unfortunately the whole place was closed up so all we got of the view was through .

    Usually when I visit Shanghai on a working trip I am there only 24 hours so I don’t venture very far. However on my last trip we had an extra 12 hours and my sister was also visiting so we ventured out for a day of tourist stuff. The city originally grew around a canal .

  • Cobbles

    Some beaches are sand, some are cobbles. This one in particular was cobbles of lots of colours, mostly pastel. I liked it a lot. I’ve always enjoyed going to a beach and for me, it’s all about the sand component and the water only from a distance to enjoy its sounds, the patterns of waves .
