On 25th March 2017, my husband Hugh’s middle son, Andrew, (aged 58) sadly passed away suddenly while on holiday in Taiwan. He was walking towards the sunrise. I don’t know if he made it in time, but at least he would have been planning to appreciate the beauty of nature. On 29th March I tramped around the coastline of Lake Tennyson, (about an hour’s drive from Hanmer Springs along the Clarence valley). During the 25 years I have lived here, I have never seen this lake so peaceful, so calm and so tranquil. The water was crystal clear and even without Polaroid glasses or a Polaroid filter on the camera I could see small trout lazily swimming to and fro. I make no apologies for this perfect reflection made in “tourist light” in the middle of a sunny day. The tramp, the place, the quiet and the weather were solace for my soul at just the right time.
