Streets, lanes, roads. Minor White was definitely right when he suggested we should look beyond what things are to see what else they are. I often think the veins on the back of leaves look like a city map. The backs of the sunflower leaves to me look like the cordoned off streets and the hill we live on.

  1. I love the analogy but the picture does my head in!! The wonders of a tilt/shift Im guessing.

Once I got past my photographers vision I am amazed by how much this looks like a street map in any new subdivision

    • Blurry bits, bits in focus, uncertainty, unclear. Smoke, low cloud, when will the cordon be lifted, will our community have been affected? Or maybe just f2.5 on a 50mm macro. Sorry Ian, about your head.

  2. My first reaction was to think “Life”. Life blood, energy and other such things. City has life too. Great!

  3. A map or showing the maze of different routes we are taken or choose to go.
