Florence is full of artists and tourists. I loved watching the painters in the Piazza del Duomo – their canvases full of bright sunflowers and poppies to please the crowds. As I began to watch through the lens what caught my attention was his blotting paper and messy paints.

  1. Melanie, well seen. so often the best image is not the most obvious. Love the random colour.

  2. Hi Melanie, it’s Ann Worthy Stephenson here 😀love the colorfulness, if that’s a word. I like how there’s sort of a pattern and there sort of isn’t. This is a photograph that will be able to transport you back to that moment always. Thanks for sharing ☺

  3. I fine it interesting that my eye tries to find a pattern in this. And that the paint tray is regular grid with messy paint over it and a broken corner. Kind of two approaches to the same thing.
