I was sitting in a big pasture, of course photographing a tiny flower with my 105mm macro, as I do.
I looked up for a moment and I was surrounded by my dad’s cows – all staring intently at me…”what is this curious and strange creature”?
So, of course, I pointed my 105mm macro at them and they configured themselves into this delightful line up! I couldn’t believe my eyes!

  1. Cattle really are gentle creatures, provided they are not bulls ! And always very curious. Ours used to come towards us and line up and stare. I like this view from this angle, Ann

  2. Ann, Texan cows must have a better sense of order than Kiwi cows.

  3. I can imagine them doing synchronised maneuvers in the long grass, and leaving swirling patterns in their wake – and I’m completely sober, just in case you’re wondering! Your image makes me smile, Ann, and I like your Dad’s cows.

  4. The first time I met you you did a fantastic AV on the song ‘Cows with Guns”. I guess your still haunted by this.
    Love it
