Every now and then we end up in a situation where we can make a photo that says everything we want to it to say. We had had a lovely day in Devon, it had been warm, we were with good, old, friends. In the evening we walked along this beach, the day was cooling down. It is a quintessentially English place. I made this picture to reflect the place, days end, to leave the feeling of a day enjoyed on an “optimistic” English beach. You can draw any association you like but for me it was the end of a very lovely day and this image, to me at least, reflects the day enjoyed with two people left, “milking it for what it is worth”. We did not want the day to end either.
Now we are at Heathrow reflecting on a special 5 weeks that we have shared with our wonderful families, special friends and just the two of us. How lucky we are.
