Thinking about climate change and the possible effects of rising water levels in our oceans I wondered about this as a solution.

  1. Good one. Very funny 🙂

  2. I like the style your working with here Pauline. For me this sparks a couple of reactions. Firstly if the sea rises of course we can build to accommodate it. There is an assumption among some that we will all stand still until the tide comes over our gumboots. As part of the future use of our area this sea level rise issue has come up. A report based on a report based on a report based on seven reports based on uncertain measurements says that if we sit on our hands for one hundred years we could, in the worst case scenario, have some trouble. In the report that is at the start of this they state “Because understanding of some important effects driving sea-level rise is too limited, this report does not assess the likelihood, nor provide a best estimate or an upper bound for sea-level rise.” . I could go on. The average measured sea level rise in New Zealand is 1.6 mm per year, we can cope with that especially for the privilege of living by the sea.
