Solitude – Meg Lipscombe

Winters at Lake Tarawera for me are very special. Just a few permanent residents and holiday homes that are closed down, waiting for warmer weather, or the fishing season to open again.
I feel completely alone as I walk along the roads, time to slow down and just feel, no one to break into my thoughts.

The other morning, just before the rain arrived the mountain and lake had a soft blue grey look, a very minimal look.

A slow shutter speed calming the waves created that feeling of solitude….maybe I am the rock surrounded by the environment.

  1. I love the way you have captured the solitude. It makes me feel peaceful inside and it’s one of those timeless images that would be very restful to have on the wall for years.
