Lucky again

Lucky timing! A pre planned trip to Queenstown to visit family fell just a day after the big snow in the lower South Island. Lots of snow but clear sky and clear, dry roads – just right for a townie.
Taken from the side of the main road between Geraldine and Fairlie.

  1. Love it John. Such elegant simplicity in every way. I very glad you kept the colour!

  2. Hhhmmm, you say ‘lucky again’, but what comes to my mind is that we are the lucky ones to know you and to get to enjoy your images 🙂

  3. Wasn’t it gorgeous?! The snow is ideal for your work John – it strips back all the extraneous matter and you just get to the heart of the land, and the bold shapes of what lies above. The trick is then being able to make a beautiful composition. That’s where your mastery lies. And getting the moon to show herself 😉

  4. Nice the moon just ads that!
