An archetype is a universal energy, a template that exists independently of people, but people align in these templates at different stages in their lives. As multifaceted, spirit-embodied beings, we each have a complex psychological and emotional constitution that produces one’s inner health and outer reality. Each one of us carries within ourselves these archetype energies. From these archetypes come our conscious thoughts, plans, desires, goals and agendas. All of the archetypes have a life in us all of the time, with one being centre stage in a given moment and the others being available and accessible or in shadow. The deepest initiations, and therefore, the greatest openings to self-realization, creativity, and service to the world, come through the gates of our shadow, our most unloved, unwanted, archetypal wound.
Most, if not all, people have several archetypes at play in their personality construct; however, one archetype tends to dominate the personality in general.

  1. I admire the way you are using the camera and the medium of photography to push into some very abstract work related to your philosophical wanderings. Wonderful!
