While I was doing my numbers series, often at work, there were a few comments about making pictures on a building site. I’ve been doing it for years, much to Mark’s frustration, but this led me to consider sharing some of them. It’s easy for the familiar to become invisible, to be glossed over in the quest for the remarkable. Yet this has always been my mission, since I first picked up a camera. To value the undervalued, notice and honour the small moments. To see those things that are a part of our existence but which are taken for granted and considered not worthy of notice.

  1. To make the uninteresting and familiar look special and different, the ultimate challenge.

  2. I love the way you do this Jen and also your challenge to notice the generally unnoticed. We should all do it more. Well done. We drove past this slab last week-end …

  3. I see that as your visual diary of your life – but done with style and creativity. The ultimate challenge is taking those images of where you are here and now. Well done imho

  4. Wow, you guys are producing some great stuff! I thought you would flame and burn but you all seem stuck on flame.
