Sunshine after the Snow

I find it amazing how a blast of sunshine can make everything feel warm.

It was late morning after a freezing overnight and early morning but the front had gone and the sun was fighting back. It was, however, still bitterly cold.

I had spotted this lone tree beside the lake (probably pond is a better description) and had had a bit of a battle to get to it. I had climbed over a gate and slithered under a barbed wire fence, all of which was a bit difficult with one “compromised” leg.

But the time it took was worth is because the sun found a gap in the clouds to transform a fairly ordinary scene into a warm colourful wonderland

  1. By the look of this image it was well worth the effort to scramble. I am glad you still have an interest in trees AND that you proved that you could get to wherever you want to despite being compromised.

  2. The other side of the tree!! Clever!! And a lovely image Ian. Hope the compromised leg is on the mend.

  3. Magic. And you just have to know that it’s going to happen. And be there.

  4. Determination and persistence pay off. Nice one Ian.
