Hard to believe this image was made on a gloomy day along the Milford Road. Either way, it’s received a lot more attention than it possibly deserves altho I’m not sure why; there was just something about it that appealed to me, so it’s been played around with until it’s almost unrecognisable from the original.
Maybe it’s the natural symmetry that caught my eye or simply that I love the colour – more likely it’s something else entirely – who knows? I like it anyway…

  1. It’s gentle and simple and beautifully lit in its spot, Sarah. You are right about the symmetry of the composition. For me it is a peaceful image.

  2. Hi Sarah, and welcome. Great to have you represented here. I love the way you have turned a potentially dark place into one of lightness. The perspective is wonderful too, it gives me an impression of “reaching for the light”, something we all do, every day, to some degree or another. The question left in my mind is “What is it that I am striving for?”, and I like that challenge. Thank you.

  3. I really like the way the picture quality has broken down to show the organic quality of what is usually a cold hard sensor. It suits the imagery perfectly.
