The Windmill

We were surrounded by fields of golden vines, the rows seemed to go on forever.

The day felt cold with Autumn in full swing and a promise of Winter not far away at all. The sky was easy to present as dramatic, there was fog in the hills and showers fell from the passing bands of cumulus clouds.

But to show the sky like that didn’t feel right. Even though in this view they were a small part of the image, the golden vines were what I was conscious of.

So I used an abstract shot of the vines as a texture for the whole image. I created something that perhaps isn’t realistic to look at but does tell you what I was feeling.

  1. Balance, light, composition, texture, flair and feeling all go to show why your art is so captivating. Yummy is my word for this image.
