Forget the colour

There was this great looking bright blue window on a white board and batten wall. Later when I looked at it on the computer screen I thought “that’s a nice shot of part of a building” but that is not the whole story that the scene had said to me. So sorting through the Nik presents I find one that tells the story – forget the lovely colour and show the three main elements: the great window shape, the contrasting round meter shape and finally, the rectangle on the lower right. Any other details are just hinted at or are completely removed.
I am happy with that.

  1. It seems to me that you are saying that it is better to imply something than to actually show us….
