One of the pleasures of working with expert tutors is the chance to try new ideas and techniques.  I wouldn't call myself a portrait photographer but Elizabeth Opalenik creates portraits that are beyond the ordinary and gives them an ethereal quality.  This image was made using a transparent piece of fabric backlit with the late afternoon sun.

  1. Intriguing image Pauline. It certainly makes one think about what and how and why. Excellent shot and great monochrome tones

  2. Wow Pauline, this image and The Dancer image are great. That workshop must have inspired you. they are two outstanding images.

    • I like how these images have forced me into a space that I wouldn’t normally have explored in the way that we did. It allowed me to see more of what I am capable of.

  3. Very interesting image.
