Late afternoon yesterday our friend Ian was involved in a very nasty car v bicycle accident and is currently in ICU in Christchurch Hospital. As is Ian’s way, he hasnt done it by halves and is a very sick young man.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ian, Ailsa and Kendra as they all try to get through this terrible time.

Know that we have you constantly in our thoughts mate and look forward to seeing you soon.

Heal quickly my friend…….

  1. I encourage any visitors to leave Ian a message here. I’m sure he will appreciate them when he is able.

  2. Lots and lots of hugs Ian and Ailsa and Kendra. We are all there right with you and will keep in touch. Just remember – healing can go well amongst the TREES and in the thermal pools of Hanmer and you are welcome to stay here when an appropriate time comes. Lots of hugs from your friend Barbara

  3. Hope all goes well you are in good hands, thinking about you.

  4. Ian, another of life’s wee challenges! You will be back looking at a tree through a camera soon. Lots & lots of hugs and best wishes from us both. Just focus on what’s important and watch the good times develop from the negatives. Just take another shot. Mark.

  5. Positive thoughts from across the seas. Your strength and resilience will be a plus.

  6. Dear, dear Ian, we are all wishing you a full and speedy recovery.

  7. Ian, so sorry to hear the grim news, thinking of you and wishing you all the best. “Meg North”!

  8. Hi Ian. Horrified to hear of your accident, and so pleased to hear you are recovering. It’s at times like this I feel the distance of being on the other side of the world. Wishing you a full and ‘quick as possible under the circumstances’ recovery.
PS. there are easier ways to get a new bike! 😉

  9. I have been away awhile and just looked through the site and saw this post. I am so sorry to hear about your accident Ian. Hopefully by now you are out of ICU and a road to recovery, even if slow. Prayers for you.
