Exhibitions are exciting but a bit scary!!

I have just a couple of days to go until the opening of my exhibition at the Down by the Liffey Gallery in Lincoln. Hopefully by now everything is ready – it certainly wasn’t ready at the time I wrote this!!

The exhibition runs from the 24th April until 19th May. If you are in Christchurch and are keen to come along to the opening on Tuesday 23rd then give me a call and I will send you an invitation.

  1. I’ve just sat and looked at this image for quite a while now and what I like is the way it enters into your senses the quieter you become. Enjoy your exhibition Ian, it’s good to stand back and have a look at all your work once it is up on the walls and before people come. I always find that a powerful moment and it belongs entirely to you, so enjoy that moment and we are the richer for having the opportunity to be able to share it with you.

    • Thanks Pauline – We are hanging it tomorrow and Im really looking forward to that. It will then be too late to change or tweak anything!!

  2. Good luck for this week Ian. I’m sure you will be pleasantly surprised when its all up and you step back and look at it. You may see what we have been seeing in your work for ages.

  3. Ian, I love this image. It is so strong and so subtle all at the same time. It isolates just enough to be very strong and then lets your mind do the rest. Simplicity and care. Well done. All the best for your exhibition. I would love to come to see it!

  4. just enjoy the moment and the event – and stand back and take pleasure in your art 🙂

  5. Love the image. Good luck. will be a way from Christchurch but will visit the gallery when we return.

  6. Nice image Ian I bet it would be good printed.
