Pallet Mountain, Christchurch

I have been very reluctant to make a lot of images of devastation in Christchurch after the earthquake for reasons that are probably too hard to untangle. With practically nothing lest in the CBD, the challenge for me (being an urban rather than landscape photographer) has been to find photographically interesting things that are popping up.

This stack of pallets reminded me of iconic shots of a mountain with low light hitting one side.

  1. I see it more as a high rise building than a mountain scape but that is just me & we know how my brain works ,or do we. All the same nice image John.

  2. One should not only photograph things for what they are but for what else they are. – Minor White

Im like Scott – I see a high rise, but perhaps thats because I know its one of Johns images.

    Love it
