Spent another cold winter’s day taking images of mad people running, crawling & surviving the Mud Sweat & Tears race. Awesome day. I went with no preconception of what I wanted to shoot; I wanted to be taken by the spirit of the competitors so I went early & spent time wandering around listening, becoming part of the whole event, the smell of anticipation, fear of the unknown. I walked the track & decided where I wanted to be & when.
I took my images & headed home, gave them about a week then looked, this image jumped out at me with Form, Feeling & Content it had to be B&W.

  1. Well caught, Scott! I keep coming back for another look – there’s so much going on, even without looking beyond the tattooed mudman.

  2. Glad you like it Vicki, I am hoping to use this as part of a portfolio I am going to enter overseas for another level of letters?

  3. I agree there is so much to look around and see in this image, but you are still very drawn to the main figure, who looks relatively clean. Impressive Scott.
