The Old Woolshed

Inside the old woolshed is full of history. The building was crafted before building consents were required and has stood the test of time exceptionally well.

This is St James Station, near Hanmer, which is now DOC land. The buildings mark the start of a mountain biking and walking track.

Dave, Ferg and I were in Hanmer with a group from the Christchurch Photographic Society.  We were leading a workshop over the weekend and, prior to starting it, we were a little nervous as to how well our message would come across.

Our fears were unfounded because 100% of the participants were up for a challenge and prepared to be shoved outside of their comfort zones.
There was a lot of effort involved in developing the programme but every minute of it was worthwhile when we saw people striving to learn and grow their photography.

To see the odd “mojo” return was extremely rewarding.
