Time and tide wait for no man

Jen and I decided to take some time out from our schedules and spent a day together talking and photographing at Patea beach in southern Taranaki.  The Patea River exits onto the beach and it has a tricky bar protected by walls of huge concrete blocks and timber piles.  I couldn’t help getting an impression of mariners’ ghosts and ships that have sailed ancient oceans when I look at this image.

  1. So much could be said but the image itself talks. For me to attempt to add to its story would be pointless.

    I love it.

  2. I love this. Haunting and beautiful. What a wonderful time we shared… Thank you.

  3. Seems appropriate for ANZAC day too. Rows of fallen soilders in the water on the beach. Tides of time. Hands reaching up “remember me, I was here!”
