Red Zone

An image made standing on our deck in the red zone. A multiple exposure made in camera.

This is simply about why we are not moving from our undamaged house 10000 shakes later.

A beautiful land sculptured by earthquakes and floods.

The Sun still rises and sets ,
the tide still comes flows in and out ,
the grass still grows,
the flax still flowers,
and the ground still shakes, as it always has done and always will,
wind, rain and floods still come,
and so the earth lives.

We still live and die in the places we call home on this earth.
Making our shelter to suit our living earth.
Only a fool would try to make the world suit his shelter.

  1. Someone working in CERA might send this to Roger Sutton!!!

Great capture of your positive attitude about staying put. Im sure that the positive attitude will bring positive results.

  2. What a great composite – there is so much in this image to tell your story that only good can come from it at the end of the day.

  3. Well composed with beautiful heartfelt text.

  4. Home is where the heart is Tim and its obvious to see your heart is settled. I hope it remains that way.
