As many of you will know, Tate Modern is a modern art gallery located in London, England. It is Britain's national gallery of international modern art. It is the most-visited modern art gallery in the world, with around 4.7 million visitors per year. It is based in the former Bankside Power Station. This image is in the former turbine hall.
The floor slopes down towards where I was standing. This makes the light from the windows cast diagonally on the floor and links with the entrance. I just loved this huge space with little in it and found it interesting that people just naturally entered the building and flowed down the slope to enter the exhibition area.
A bonus for me when I can see modern art and enjoy an exceptional building as well.

  1. What a wonderful pic of an amazing place. That turbine hall is the most incredible space, but I’ve rarely seen the light in there like that. Fantastic

  2. It has a cathedral like quality to it. I love it.

  3. Superb composition; great processing and you certainly waited until the people were in the right positions! I am sure you enjoyed both being there and making a great image.
