My professional photographic career required me to document factually, with attention to detail being critical.

In my personal photography I like to explore nature, not only to show the beauty of the natural things but to create mood, evoke a sense of wonder, and a little mystery.
This image is of a Wood anemone, (one of many taken) in a small patch in my garden. Seen through my camera using a Lensbaby.
I have endeavoured to show their full beauty, joy and grace, and have explored the different angles, spaces, and reflections of light to create a romantic, painted effect.
I find it pure therapy to be out in nature, and to seek inspiration and be creative.

“To be creative means to be in love with life. You can be creative only if you love life enough that you want to enhance its beauty, you want to bring a little more music to it, a little more poetry to it, a little more dance to it.”
